Ascension St. Vincent taps new leader

Kevin Speer has been tapped to lead Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent.

Mr. Speer will return to Ascension St. Vincent as senior vice president and ministry market executive, Ascension Indiana, according to a March 27 news release. The change is effective May 1. 

Mr. Speer brings more than three decades of healthcare experience to the role, according to the release.

Most recently, he has served as president and CEO of Danville, Ind.-based Hendricks Regional Health since 2012. 

He also was general counsel and chief legal officer for St. Vincent Health (now Ascension St. Vincent) from 2004 to 2006 as part of a law firm, according to the release. He then joined St. Vincent Health as an associate to serve as system vice president and chief strategy officer.

Mr. Speer’s latest appointment comes as Jonathan Nalli, who serves as CEO and ministry market executive of Ascension St. Vincent and senior vice president with St. Louis-based Ascension, will be leaving his role.

Ascension St. Vincent is part of Ascension.
